(1-25 of 70)Teamcenter is worth consideration.
We also use it to manage or change request process. Before email was used to see where things were. Now we submit it to a workflow which guides the change request through the process
- Managing documentation.
- We find the workflows easy to follow.
- We like how it lets us define our organization with people having multiple groups/roles.
- The Active Workspace interface has taken away the user's ability to delete some data they create. This needs to be more user friendly.
- Displaying workflow information for large workflows needs to improve the time it takes to display.
- Documentation of configuration could be clearer.
We have many locations that need to be involved in the engineering change process. To coordinate all the locations with a single workflow can be a challenge in that the larger the workflow, the slower the interface is.

My PLM Experience with Teamcenter
- For each part, JT is there for the non-design people, who can see how the actual part looks and measure some limited dimensions that are needed at the mfg level.
- In our scenario, we use Creo as 3D modeling and Teamcenter as our PLM, through which integration tasks were handled very well.
- My most favorite thing is it's user-friendly and customizable.
- In Assembly, JT is not directly viewable. There is some alternate method available, but it’s hard to use.
Teamcenter Review
- Well probably boom, it does very well. And allowing for integration into other products. I love seeing when you're actually integrating it into process simulation and the effect that it has there and preventing it through. So really the digitalization that's possible.
- It's probably error management in that sort of sense with digging into the detail when the problems do arise, getting into the nitty gritty and when the customers have customized it gets really complicated. So it's indicating where we should not go down the route, the customization because we have always tried to not customize but you do and then it messes it all up or makes the support difficult.

Discipline and order with Teamcenter
- Define and enforce standards
- Users can focus on their key value and avoid wasted time
- Enables cad-agnostic view of data for downstream users
- Implementation needs to incorporate more user and people change aspects
- Overwhelming array of functions and lack of clarity of how to make a choice

- Engineering: Teamcenter helps manage complex engineering processes, such as product design, simulation, analysis, and validation. It provides tools for managing engineering changes, tracking progress, and ensuring that designs comply with standards and regulations.

Teamcenter Application Engineer Perspective.
- Workflows are easy to design and use.
- Integration with NX works well.
- Active workspace UI is easy to use.
- The integrations with ERP require a custom solution, or the Siemens solution is too expensive.
- Documentation of existing knowledge base and new features is not easy to find. It should be better organized and easily searchable.
- Support of a product should be longer than usual 1 year as upgrading takes a lot of effort.
Teamcenter at a glance.
- Item and BoM management.
- Revision control.
- BoP for parts planning.
- Reporting capabilities.
- Easy accessible APIs.
